What’s with the name?
“Eco” comes from the Greek word “oikos” meaning "house" or "dwelling place”. It is seen in the words eco-logy (the study of our dwelling place) and eco-nomy (household management). “Theo” comes from the Greek word “theos” meaning “god”. The term theo-logy refers to the study of God. Together, EcoTheo captures our group's intention to consciously inhabit our place in the world with an awareness of the sanctity and giftedness of God's creation.
